With 35+ years of experience with The Salvation Army, Robert has a broad range of diverse experience with this organization.  Those experiences, coupled with education, enable him to effectively provide professional expertise in areas such as construction financing and budgeting, contract negotiation, facility design, leasing, property assemblage, project management, and facility operations.  Robert is a results-driven visionary and strategic planner for Salvation Army property design, construction, and operation.  Successes include the development of a comprehensive building operations and capital planning guide that forecasts operational and capital expenses of a particular facility from concept design to demolition based on life-cycle costing; development and implementation of prototypical design documents for Salvation Army facilities; development and implementation of a construction project data-base; the successful completion of more than 100 capital projects representing 2.9 million square feet and more than $625 million in capital expenditure; and indirect management of facilities totaling more than 25 million square feet representing $1.375 billion in land, buildings, and construction in progress.  Robert serves as the Secretary for the Territorial Property Council, a subsidiary board of the Board of Trustees for The Salvation Army, and as a member of both the Territorial Risk Management Council and the Territorial Program Council.

Nathaniel has over 23 years experience in the field of facility management and property development.  His broad range of experience has been developed through professional opportunities with The Salvation Army as well as the Atlanta Olympic Committee, Digital Computers, and General Motors Corporation.  His diverse background makes him highly effective in his role with the Territorial Property Department.

 

 

 

 

 




Shelton Fowler, III

Experience:
Shelton brings 25 years of experience in the architecture and engineering market place to the Property Department.  His past and present responsibilities include project management, project architect, and construction coordinator.  His facility experience includes public and private education, Department of Defense, and miscellaneous commercial and non-profit facilities.  His experience, as well as his “hands-on” construction knowledge enables him to provide professional expertise in the areas of design and construction for The Salvation Army.

 




Katie Baxter

Experience:
Katie’s professional work history and education includes extensive experience in a major real estate firm as well as a retail expansion group. She uses this experience to research and recommend specific materials and finishes to be incorporated into Salvation Army facilities throughout the USA Southern Territory. During her time with The Salvation Army, Katie has had the pleasure of working on interiors and furnishings for a wide variety of projects including the Territorial Headquarters, Corps Buildings, Boys and Girls Clubs, Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Centers, Shelters, Camp Facilities and Administrative Offices throughout the Southeast.

Experience:

5+ years of experience with The Salvation Army, Currently serving as Capital Renewal Plan manager and ARCHIBUS administrator for the USA Southern Territorial Property Department, Ross works diligently to continuously improve the facilities management industry and is professionally committed to The Salvation Army facilities operations and management.  Ross joined The Salvation Army in 2011 as the Facilities Director with the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Augusta, Georgia.   Over the past decade and a half, Ross has served in a wide variety of professional capacities and environments in the private, public and government sectors.  The majority of his career, Ross worked with the Army Corps of Engineers on Military installations across the southeast region with projects including Waste Water Infrastructure, Hospital Facilities construction and operations Management. Other notable projects that Ross serviced in a management capacity are those to include Nuclear Power generation and domestic water treatment.  Ross attended Augusta Technical College and North Carolina State University pursuing education in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management and Maintenance Reliability.
